Our Scout Master

Mr. Brady “T-Mobile” Augustine did not have the advantage of Scouting as a youth since, as he puts it

“My oldest brother was a Cub Scout and when he dropped out, my parents did not try again with the rest of us. It is a topic of debate for holiday gatherings as Scouting would have served me well as a young adult and as a budding officer at the Naval Academy.”

His Scouting experience began in 2005 when he joined as a Tiger Cub den leader in the Suwannee River Area Council’s Pack 40 and over the next 5 years in the Pack,  he served as Committee Chair, Popcorn Chair, and Webelos Den Leader. In 2011, he moved to Troop 118 and over the next 5 years, he served as Assistant Scoutmaster and Merit Badge Coordinator. In 2016, Brady assumed the role of Scoutmaster for the Troop.

Mr. Augustine earned his Woodbadge beads in 2015 and is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow Semialachee Lodge. He has organized and/or attended treks to Seabase (2015), Philmont(2016), and Northern Tier (2017).

Favorite Scout experience: Anytime I see a Scout make the most of what Scouting has to offer

Nickname: T-Mobile (from a trip to Germany he organized for Scout leaders)

Favorite saying: “On poor teams, nobody leads. On average teams, coaches lead. On elite teams, players lead.” ~ Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak
