Our first camp out, since the pandemic began, was a huge success! We arrived at the former Purple Martin Outpost on Friday evening ready for our adventure. 22 scouts and 9 adults set up camp following CDC guidelines keeping a safe distance. Each scout set up his own individual tent in a designated area based on his patrol. Masks were worn at all times. Lights out was at 11pm. Saturday morning we were up at the crack of dawn ready to learn. We ate breakfast which was prepared by the separate patrols. By 9am the scout skills training for the Mockingjays began. It was a full day of learning, having fun, and just feeling like a real troop again after our long extended summer. Thank you to everyone who contributed in helping our Mockingjays advance in rank! Our weekend came to an end with Sunday Mass, cleanup, and of course our thorns and roses. Looking forward to our next adventure!
