Troop 118 attended Woodruff Scout Camp in Blairsville, GA from July 9 – 15, 2023. We had thirteen scouts and six adult leaders in attendance.  All the Scouts had a wonderful time and were exposed to some great opportunities.  Scouts earned a variety of merit badges including Wilderness Survival, Archery, Rifle, Pottery, Fingerprinting, Motorboating, Art, and many more. Camp had many great opportunities for all.

Most adult leaders also took part in camp activities with some accomplishing completion of courses such as the swimming and water rescue course; Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster course completion and even two adults completed the mile swim award.  Troop 118 walked away with many camp awards earning the Honor Troop award, one scout of ours won the camp wide chess tournament, an adult leader won the Scoutmaster Shotgun shootout tagging 10 out of 10 sheets, and a staff award all thanks for two of the troop committee members participating in camp all summer.   We would love to go back and do so much more again and witness the amazing closing campfire fireworks display put on by camp.
