Welcome to Troop 118

During the school year, we meet every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the outdoor pavilion of Blessed Sacrament Church, 624 Miccosukee Road, Tallahassee, Florida. Our activities include weekly meetings, monthly camping trips, conservation and service projects, and plenty of opportunities to have fun and fellowship while advancing in rank.

Wallwood Summer Camp 2023

Scouts had a blast at our local camp, Wallwood this summer! 14 scouts and 3 adults went to this camp. Scouts earned a variety of merit badges and rank requirements. Thanks to Mr. Ramrattan for organizing it!

Seabase 2024

We are sending 18 Scouts/Adult leaders to BSA Sea Base High Adventure next summer.  Sea Base is located in Islamorada, FL and they will particiapte in the Coral Reef Sailing Adventure.  The Scouts will sail the high seas, learning how to sail and live aboard the sail boat for a week long journey.  They will have the opportunity to study astronomy, navigation, fish identification, and coral reef ecology. They will sharpen navigational skills, snorkel the coral reefs and fish for a variety of fish.

 

Woodruff Summer Camp 2023

The Scouts of Troop 118 enjoyed summer camp at Woodruff in Blairsville, GA. The Scouts earned merit badges such as Fingerprinting, Water Sports, Communication, Rifle, and Personal Fitness.  The Troop earned honor troop and many individual awards. Thanks to Scoutmaster Brendan and Mr. Adamson for organizing it!

Northern Tier 2024

The flagship base of Northern Tier, the Charles L. Sommers Canoe Base has hosted Boy Scout canoe expeditions on the shores of Moose Lake since 1941. Located twenty miles outside of the town of Ely, MN, the Sommers Base outfits over 4,000 Scouts each year on wilderness canoe trips in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in Minnesota and the Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario. Trips out of the Sommers base are limited to 8 total participants plus an Interpreter.

Every year, Troop 118 works with Troop 115 to sell Christmas Trees. We have trees of all shapes and sizes and occasionally wreaths. All money collected will go to the scouting funds of all who help sell. We will be at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1700 N. Meridian Rd Tallahassee, FL 32303.

Sales start 8 am – 8 pm on Friday, November 24th
Saturday’s 8 am – 8 pm
Sunday’s 12 pm – 6 pm
Monday – Friday 5 pm – 8 pm.
